When we decided to celebrate our new brand identity with a promotional video, we instinctively knew that same-old wasn’t going to cut it.
We put our heads together with Dirk Peremans (who developed the new brand strategy) and Gustav Rischmüller (who developed the new brand identity) and decided to do something extraordinary. Like most things we do, of course. With Gustav taking the lead, we decided to:
With Micaela and Rúben – and the ever-present assistance of Maria João – thrown into the deep end of line-producing and project management (which they took to like a duck to water), we started our journey. Micaela organised a film crew, wardrobe, make-up, props, and a stunning replica ship in Vila do Conde. Eric discovered the perfect “castle” location in Agrela for some 15th-century scenes. Maria João was put in charge of catering, because who else?
Casting no fewer than 28 actors (plus many extras) from our motley crew of factory workers, administrators, engineers, project managers, lawyers, and accountants was almost as much fun as the filming itself. Visit our blog soon for a behind-the-scenes photo journey of the making of our film.
A few MS Teams meetings, many emails, and a location confirmation later, director Gustav met crew lead Ivo Guimarães and DOP Pedro Texeira on location and started the filming. Indulge in the result below.
